(An overwhelming long entry because i am an Arts student and 4 out of 5 subjects i take are essay-based. Read on and feel my joy~~~ ^^)

All of the above taken using iPhone3GS/4/Polaroid which i didn't mind at all because it's kinda a good break away from usual DSLR photos hehe. I actually really like the grainy ones ^_^ This also explains the last picture's crazy red hue, that i have tried my best to salvage by adjusting contrast/exposure/colour everything and finally ctrl+z back to the original photo. We were all snapping away with Megz's phone only to realise they turned out this way due to her dumbass red iphone cover (time for a change megzzie!!) which caused this blanket of redness every time the flash is used. But it is exactly so that i like this photo because there is something so candid and raw about it...maybe it captured how dense we were and the unsophisticated eureka moment when we registered the cause hahahahahahahaha

This eighteenth birthday, i had a blast.

And i cannot be anymore thankful for that. 

This year, i actually celebrated my birthday almost throughout the entire month and had like 5 or 6 cakes???? (and one more coming up from bryan foo!!! hehe) But yes, so i first celebrated it with my relatives because my all my cousins from the maternal side plus my brother (who's in taiwan COME BAAAAACKK) are born in July~ I love such family gatherings it warms my heart hehehehehehe. The second cake came from my wonderful cell group who delivered the cake & gift all the way to my aunt's place!!! I was overwhelmed with guilt and felt very undeserving of such effort.. sigh. 

Unice then treated me to an all-expenses-paid-HarryPotterMovie-birthday celebration on the release day of the movie itself. Dinner and movie was good, but spending time with you was even better!!! I LOVE THE FERRAGAMO PERFUME!! Every single year, you never fail to get me a gift AND a card AND never once late. Thank you, hotstuff ;) 

On the day before my birthday itself, i had an extra geography class till 6pm but i decided to skip it and get to Fullerton because i was feeling a bit...down, i don't really know why haiya girls are like that. k. So i was studying and suddenly i started receiving calls from Jo, Siying and Bryan that went like "yang where are you? OMG YOU ARE NOT IN SCHOOL??", "oh, er.. thought you had usual detention for being late for school" and a "ehh i coming to fullerton study stay there k". 

My friends are so cuteeeeeeeeeee hehe but anyway still, i wasn't suspecting anything~ TILL, a cake magically appeared HAHAHAHHAAHAA OMG I LOVE YOU AN, KIAT AND SNAIL (who couldn't be down but still filmed a short video at buona vista mrt station)!!!!!! They actually went all the way down to AC only to realise i skipped my class and THEN TRAVELLED AGAIN TO FULLERTON JUST TO SURPRISE ME!!!!!!!! I WAS SO GENUINELY SHOCKED AND VERY VERY TOUCHED :') thank you so so so much for being such incredible friends, im so blessed to meet y'all amongst all the nh weirdos hahahaha and STEAMBOAT + ROLLOVER SOON!!!!!!! 

When it was 12am i started receiving a lot of texts and wishes thank you thank you everyone!! Im moved by the littlest action so all these messages, tweets and facebook wishes meant a lot. Which explains me taking the effort to reply every single one ^^ I was late for school on the day itself cos that night i decided to reward myself with a face mask hahahahahaa must have felt too good so i overslept hehe. Anyway, the school guard didn't book me for detention cos it was my birthday after looking at my identification card. He was all "ok la ok la don't tell anyone!" whoopee ^_^v (I know that sounded very trivial and lame but like i said, the littlest action!!)

Got through school with wishes and cards and gifts!! Thank you jo, mavee and my awesome team!!!!!!!!!! I have always been feeling a bit inadequate and incompetent as the captain of the team but all the love from you guys made me work harder, and i learnt so much. Thank you Softball Girls :') The past few months were the most amazing time i had in AC.

Though i was a tiny wee bit disappointed that i didn't get to celebrate with my classmates after school as planned, i was fine after awhile~~ :) So i went to Fullerton again and the barista gave me a free slice of cake though i already redeemed my complimentary birthday cake ahhhh such random acts (like the school guard too) make me feel like hugging the world if i could. 

OMG SUCH A LONG ENTRY AND IM NOT DONE YET OK OK I WILL KEEP TYPING BECAUSE MY OLDER SELF WOULD WANT TO KNOW ALL THE TINY DETAILS A FEW YEARS DOWN THE ROAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jiayuan then came all the way from home and bought me another starbucks cake!!!!! 

The whole of Friday i was sooooooo fidgety in school! I just could not contain my excitement for that night, dressing up and meeting my favourite girls!!!!!!! All 9 of them!!!!!!!!!!! 

They came with balloons and showered me with gifts and cards and LUURRRVVVE!!! I WAS SERIOUSLY BURSTING WITH JOY EVEN AT HOME WHILE PREPARING TO MEET THEM. I WAS IN A STATE OF RAPTURE AND FELT LIKE THE WORLD HAD ONLY DAISIES AND PRETTY THINGS AND THERE WAS NO WAR = PARADISE YEZ BLISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

After a lot of "sorry sorry! oops sorry! AHH TANGLED!!" (we actually brought the balloons in hahahahahahaa) we got to party with the Trouse Brothers spinning in Zouk whoop whoop ^^ 

Thank you Lin, Bao, Megzzie, Jayme, Shan, Val, Mavee, Rachie and Yinny. Really. Thank you so much. The joy and happiness i had inside me was so amazing and honestly, i cannot even put into words how loved i felt that night. The closest i could try was that because both you and i know that i would do anything for each of you in a heartbeat, and it is because of this mutual friendship that is so strong, i know that y'all wanted to make my 18th so memorable. This love from all of you is so genuine and there were so many moments i wanted to cry that night BUT NO, I HAD EYELINER ON EVEN THOUGH ITS WATERPROOF IM TAKING NO CHANCES!!!! 

I feel extremely unworthy of all your attention, effort and love..thus, i will strive to be an EVEN BETTER FRIEND :)))) CALL ME BEEP ME TWEET ME AND I'LL BE THERE!!!!!! xxx

I can go on forever with my thanks but i'll translate that into action hehe. See you girls in school!!!!

OMG I JUST WENT TO TOPSHOP AND CHECKED OUT HOW MUCH I COULD SPEND WITH THE GIFT CARD AND WHY YOU GIRLS SPEND SO MUCH ON ME!!!!! PLUS THE SEPHORA VOUCHER!!!! PLUS THE GIFT FROM ACCESSORIZE PLUS THE HIGH CLASS CAKE YALL BOUGHT!!!!!!!! AND BALLOONS. You know very honestly, i would be happy even if its $20 (min value haha) voucher HECK I WOULDN'T EVEN MIND IF YOU GIRLS DIDNT GET ME ANYTHING!!!!!!!! THE NIGHT WAS BEYOND AWESOME ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!! SHOULD HAVE SEEN MY FACE WHEN THE TOPSHOP PERSON TOLD ME HOW MUCH ITS WORTH -____-
